Default Salvage Items question

Hi,

I'm enjoying guild wars and i'm in post Ascalon right now, there are armor smiths in the city but for him to make me some armor i need to get some fur squares. I asked everybody in game and nobody seems to know what you have to salvage in order to get it.. could somebody point me in the right direction please ?

There is a rare-crafting-material maker outside the Sanitarium that can turn a few 'tanned hides' (common crafting material) into fur squares for some gold.

But, yes, expert salvage on some of those hides can yield fur squares too.

These are not turned into fur squares, they are turned into tanned hide squares.

Char Hides turn into tanned leather sqaures if you use a normal salvage kit but you can get fur squares if you use an expert salvage kit.

There is a collector in Ascalon city that trades 4 Charr Hides for 1 Fur Square. (Near the Dye Trader I think)
